On Thursday 8th May 2025 Manilva will come together to commemorate a momentous occasion — the 80th Anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day). This special event, organised by the Royal British Legion, will serve as both a remembrance memorial dedication and a community celebration, paying tribute to the sacrifices of the past while bringing people together in gratitude and unity.

Starting from 12:00hrs, the day promises a heartwarming programme filled with remembrance, music, and community spirit. A memorial dedication ceremony will offer a solemn and respectful moment to honour those who served and fell during World War II, ensuring their legacy lives on for generations to come.

From 13:00hrs, the atmosphere will lift with live music performed throughout the afternoon, creating the perfect backdrop for reflection and celebration alike. There will also be a raffle with prizes to be won, alongside a charming tea party–style buffet featuring a delightful selection of sweet and savoury treats.
